I was installing the Adamant mod for SE4 and now i'm getting a "Floating point" error on my SE4 game as a whole. Whether i load Adamant mod or regular it errors on me.
My first thought is that I messed up on the FQM install. Using the SE4 Launcher I can run the FQM deluxe with no error, but anything else goes bad. I followed the Readme and copied some of FQM into normal SE4 pictures, but i beleive I messed up and copied the Stamap.bmp into the stock folder overwriting the stock starmap.bmp. Would that be the problem?

Never heard of a floating point error in this context. Placing the FQM starmap file in the stock folder wouldn't cause weird crashes if you can load FQM mod with it without issue.
Did you recently install the image mod, or did you already have it installed?

Can you post the complete error message? A screenshot would be handy.

I'm at work but it was pretty simple.
It makes the windows "Bong" sound associated with an error. The pop-up is a windows pop-up.....not SE4 popup from te game. it says, "Floating Point Error" and has "Ok" button below the error. There is no option to expand the error see anything.
After I hit ok, se4 is still there, but the map is basically black/blank, the buttons are there, but do not work. Usually, I have to end program to get out of it.

oh, and it happens right at the end of the Game set up, after the loading boxs go by and the game officially starts.

That definitely can't be caused by system images; they are not referenced until you actually view a system.

reinstalled everything and it worked this time.
Only difference is that I didn't put the FQM in root and left it the adamant folder.

BTW, How do I colonize a new world in Adamant?! lol
I only played an hour last night after all the reinstalling. I looked te the in game manual, but that appeared to be more towards stock.

Note that colony modules require a mount. They can only be placed on colony ships.

You will not be able to colonize anything if you did not choose a Homeworld type in your racial traits.
