Is there a place or a link that explains what all of the new game starting settings mean? I'm talking about creating a new game, the settings like starting tech level for new players, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you looked in the FAQ (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showthreaded.php?Number=348410) or the documentation?

You might also try the Game Guide (http://www.spaceempires.net/home/downloads-file-421.html) (which is what the FAQ section 1.0.1 recommends).

The sad truth is that I could never do now what I did when I wrote that guide. I spent a lot of time on it, gather information from many sources, and now when I try to get back into the though process to update that guide I go blank. I can't even accept that I actually wrote the damn thing it seems so over my head now.

I that way with things Ive programmed. Particularly if they grew over time. Im impressed by it, then I cant believe I wrote it because Im impressed by it.

Whats really bad is that my most impressive leaps of genius-bordering-on-insane in code was from days that I was feverish. I cant follow some of those at all. There are times now during projects that I wish for a really good flu-bug.

Thanks for your help PvK. Some how the initial pages of my printed FAQ got separated from the rest of the document.
