So how does Reverse Engineering work? When I reverse engineer a ship, do I get rp's for all techs and levels I don't have? How many rp's should I expect?

When you reverse engineer, you do not get research points. What you do get is tech levels, and is best shown as an example:

You capture a frigate that has an ion engine lvl 3, master computer level 1, and shields level 4. You already know lvl 1 of ion engines, nothing about master computers, and lvl 4 of shields. From reverse engineering your hypothetical captured ship, you'd get level 2 of ion engines, level 1 of master computers, and nothing new from the shields tree. This is all assuming that you know the pre-requisite technologies that are required for, for example, master computers.

So you get the full technology from 1 ship? Is it a 100% chance?

Also, can you reverse engineer facilities?

No; as in the example, you get +1 level in each area that the ship has higher level than you, and only for areas that you have available to research.

No, there's no way to analyze a faciity.
