View Full Version : Launching/Deploying fewer then maximum number of mines

When I deploy mines in a system, the crew invariably deploy every mine on the ship.

I don't need to put 30 mines in a specific system but would rather do 6 mines in five systems. So, how do I deploy fewer then the maximum number of mines on board?

Thanks,

i think you should use "launch/recover units" instead of "launch unit remotely", the catch is that your ship has to be on the location where you want the mines

Q: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
A: Yes.
Q: And what were you doing at that time?

In the launch window isn't there a tab for setting the number deployed. I know there are tabs for transfer.

In turnbased movement games you can do what Lemmy said, but in simultaneous move game you need two ships. One minelayer and one transport. Transfer as many mines you want to lay from the transport to the minelayer before giving it orders to lay. That's the only way to do it in sim turn games.

When you want to launch your mines go to the launch/recover button, top of screen, click, it will bring up screen and on the right will give you choice of launching, 1, 5,10 or all. if you only want to launch 6 at that location, just hit the launch 5, then clik on launch only 1 and you will have 6 mines. or you could hit the 1 button 6 times. etc.

just some ideas mac
