So what do you think of this guy? It kind of looks like he has only one arm though. Do you think I should change it so it is more obvious that he has two?

Keep in mind that I enlarged the pic and it is a JPG so some quality is lost.

I think he looks very nice. Don't worry about the arm, I think you've been looking at it too long. It looks just right.

It looks fine. It does look a bit as if he didn't have a second arm, but if the it's seen in the attack sprite, there's nothing to worry about. And even if it isn't, no one will really pay that much attention to a sprite as long as you can tell the unit apart from others.
