OMFG!!

edit:
"Synopsis:

Times change. Dangers remain. 10 years after he became President of the Interstellar Alliance, Sheridan prepares for a fateful Babylon 5 reunion that could prevent Earth’s impending doom…if he will also compromise his core principles. Meanwhile, commander Lochley confronts an unexpected interloper on the way station – a being whose presence makes the B5 freeport the crossroads between heaven and hell.

In Voices in the Dark, Series creator J. Michael Straczynski reunites with stars Bruce Boxleitner and Tracy Scoggins in two richly imagined stories set after the events of the original series. Richly imagined, too, is Straczynski’s vision of the 23rd century (including a dazzling New York City) – a vision made more spectacular via filmmaking technology unavailable during the original series."

Cool, but this was brought up a few months ago. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Thanks for updating us though. The trailer for the new movie is very interesting. I hope they make more.

Looks great. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I wonder if anybody else from the original series will be back besides Sheridan and Lochley?

Speaking as someone whose job is making websites, flashy cursor stuff on the front page is sure to get my interest.

That's called a joke

"A comment or gesture intended to provoke laughter"

heh, but then I think OB is funny.

Forgive me if I'm missing something blaringly obvious, but isn't Sheridan dead now? Or is this somehow supposed to take place between the first and second movies?

Well... i dont know, in the trailers it says (if i understand correctly since english is not my natural language) "Ten years, ten years since the world changed, ten years since i changed it feels like i never left the place..." so it may be take place between, who knows? i guess we'll have to wait

Sheridan 'dies' 19 years after the Shadows/Vorlons/First Ones leave (20 after he 'dies' on Z'ha'dum), at the end of season 4. It's really more like he vanishes in a burst of light, but whatever...

Yah, Sheridan doesn't actually die at all, but joins the other First Ones beyond the rim. Looks like the movie is set about 8-9 years or so before he vanishes.

I hope they've gone back to the original music theme, though. I really didn't like the new one much.

Hey if you haven't ordered your copy of this movie, now you can. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Amazon has it and its currently listed as their 6th hottest seller. The more people who buy this DVD the greater the chances are that we will get another one. So please go buy it.

Well, I saw the new movie last night and it kinda sucked. It's in two parts. The first part deals with the decline of religion in B5 universe and being possessed. The second part is a bit more interesting dealing with a possible future that Sheridan can avoid. The second part shows a quick battle that looks cool expect it is over before you can blink. Plus the acting is limited usually to two characters. There is no sense of crew like the show/movies. I'm glad to see B5 come back but how about a real story arc. I hope they make more but next time actually put in a effort to the story. They should stick to 2hr tv movies. This was just a boring movie and almost as bad as Legend of the Rangers. I wish it was better. Maybe next time.

Yeah, very disappointing. We need less talk, more action, more story and more characters.

Is it possible that this was simply a prologue, though?

I just watched the movie and I have to say that I liked it. The sets were well done, the acting was good, the stories were mellow and cost effective, and the effects were very up to date. All in all it wasn't very action packed, but it was a good start to what I hope will be many more direct to DVD B5 movies to come.
