View Full Version : I have a problem

So I am working on a project and I need to graphically illustrate a Squad, Platoon, Regiment, Legion, and Army components.

Squad and Platoon are only large enough for troops so I figured to use standard Infantry images for those. But since a Regiment and above will have armor, how should I illustrate them?

The problem I am having is that rendering time for heavy model images is about six hours. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif So I need to come up with something more efficient.

Any suggestion would be helpful.

I am thinking about using this one as the Legion image.

Why not render each model once, and then use paint to lay out drafts of the scene before you do the final render?

I have no skills or any program to do such a thing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

You have Paint... for something more advanced, free and light-weight, you could try Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net).
