Tampa,

I have been looking for your email address but can't track it down. I hope you see this message, your Last post was about a week ago http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif

I have been using your Darlok shipset and like it a lot. However, I am a fan of Dragons (hence the nick:-) and would like to have a dragon race for use in PBW games.
Unfortunately I suck at drawing or making pictures of any kind. I would like permission to re-use the Darlok shipset, and only change the Race_portrait bitmap. I'll repackage it as a Dragon shipset with a readme in which you get full credit.
Is that OK?

I just like people to see a Dragon's face when they hit F9 to start diplomatic interactions with me http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

If need be you can find my email through the PBW site, I'd rather not make it too easy for others by simply posting it here.

Dragonlord-

I cannot take credit for the artisitc shipset, those were done by Don Phillips a/k/a Voidhawk. If you want to use the shipset for your own personal use, go right ahead you do not need his permission. If you want to post it as a full AI - why not just post the alternative dragon images for people to use with whatever shipset they want?

Tampa, good point. All I would have to do is upload a Dragon race portrait. However, if I simply replace the Darlok portrait with my own, in /Races/Pictures , that will only work on my local PC. When you join a game on PBW, you must select a shipset. You can use custom ones but are limited to the sets they know about over at PBW, and while I can upload a shipset to them, I can't just send em a single bitmap. I won't mess with AI files.

Hmm..then again I don't really fancy manually renaming all those Darlok_... files to Dragon_... files. (are there any tools for that?)

Just use "copy darlok_*.* dragon_*.*" in a DOS prompt.

It'll do exactly what you want.
