View Full Version : Sphereworld Homes

When adding moons to the systemtypes file for my moons patch a couple of weeks ago, I tried making large and medium moons above huge planets. It worked, but when the game loaded it would sometimes pick a moon as the homeworld but plant the colony on the planet rather than the moon. It would do this even if the atmosphere and planet type were wrong. So if you want a sphereworld home planet, then in the map editor give the sphereworld a medium and a large moon and specify the sector as a starting location for the empire slot you want to use.....

I have not actually tried this but it SHOULD work. Of course this game bug/feature exploit may be removed in the next patch....

You should be able to specify a sphereworld as a starting position regardless of whether it has any moons. One of the patches specifically allowed this, by making sure only the atmosphere was changed to match the race, not the planet type.
