I just started a new game with Version 1.41
I have a world with several intelligence centers but I am getting no intel points.
I don't think I need a space port do I?

You need one space port per system to get resources from that system.

Intel and Research is also a resource type.

Unless you have selected (purchased) the special skill (Merchant?, I think) you need a space port in any system to get any resources *out.* I suspoect one can "store" extra resources in system with out a space port... not sure.

The trait 'Natural Merchants' lets you do without space ports, yes.

I know for a FACT that you could in v1.35 because I did it all the time on systems whose resources I did not want to have in my empire score. Basically my trick was to scrap selected spaceports as I approached MEE so that the worlds not yet full of facilities could continue building. Then when ready to go MEE I would rebuild the spaceports for a huge jump in score and resources to cover my newly built fleet expenses. The storage facilities do not care whether there is a spaceport or not. A bug/feature which may someday be removed to counter the game exploit I just described.

LCC: I dont see why it should be removed... I think it should stay, its only logical to me.
How do the resources get into and out of the storage versus the rest of the empire if there is no spaceport ? It is a shaky feature, marginally a bug.

True, it does look like it shouldn't be, but I think thier is some logical reasons why a spaceport would be needed to get Intel points which would justify its existance in the game. I mean, a Space Port is sort of an abstract form of intercommerence between not only your empires worlds, but probably other empires as well. From my knowlege in history (and maybe a few Si-Fi films I have seen), Inteligence is more then just a "James Bond" in disguise as a double Agent. Their is more to intelligence than that. I kinda want to think as the space Ports as commerence communities that not only exchange currancy and trade with other civilizations, but information aswell.
