Is there any way to check the game setup options on a game in progress?

I usually play with the no tech trading option. I do this because the AI are tech trading whores and left to their own devices everybody has all the same techs except racial ones.

I also usually don't agree to treaties involving tech exchange (which would supposedly not be allowed anyway, under my typical game setup). I can't remember ever seeing an AI treaty offer that didn't include tech exchange, but I counter-offer and deselect that.

This time, though, I accepted one such a treaty as offered, and now every turn my new AI ally gives me a dozen techs or so - and it has been going on like that a very very long time. The rate of progress is such that I'm sure he's getting stuff from several other AI races (that or he has a billion research points).

So, either I forgot to de-sellect tech trading in the game setup (which is what I want to check, hence my original question), or there is a bug whereby they trade anyway regardless of the game setup option.

You can't change a game setup option during the game. Not sure if the AI would be able to ignore the no trade setting, but it seems possible they might.

I'm not looking for a way to change it, but just to check it to see if I forgot to change that setting in this particular game or if it is ignoring the setting.

If it is ignoring it, that's a definate bug.

AFAIK this option only forbids you from directly trading techs (something that the AI never does anyway). Sharing tech in treaties is not affected by this setting.

Is there a way to mod that capability out - maybe some file regarding treaty elements?
