I have recently gotten back into SEIV using the STM, or trying to at least. I have followed the installation instructions, patched up to 1.91, gotten the latest image mod packs but when I click on certain celestial bodies the game crashes and gives me this error message:

"Access violation at address 00490B96 in module 'Se4.exe.' Read of address 00000004."

Anyone have any idea what that means or how to fix it?

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't believe this has anything to do with the mod but perhaps a missing image or two from Fyron's Quadrant mod. I will zip my file and put here for download.

Stellar Images (http://www.astempire.net/zips/Se4Pictures.zip)

Just unzip to your SpaceempiresIV main directory. (Where the data, pictures, dsgname folders are.) and click yes when asked to over write.

Thank you for your help Atrocities.. I dbl checked and made sure I didnt have any folders within folders or picture files in the main pictures folder where they shouldnt be and everything checks out. The only thing I can think of at this point is it is some sort of Vista issue. Weird how the error only pops up when I click on certain planets and not others thought.

FQM (and Image Mod by extension) is not missing any files.

There was an anomalous system or stellar image bug that is extremely rare to do with FQM files. The cause of which has never been figured out. It has to do with how I had originally incorporated it into STM way back when. (Not a real FQM bug - sorry Fyron, didn't mean to imply that.) I haven't seen it creep up in years though. That is why I posted my stellar images. Just in case there is a file calling for an image that its shouldn't be. At least you'll have all the images I have.

Hmmmm maybe I will move it to linux where I can compare the references in the file with the image names. It might be a misspelling.
