As I mentioned in the REMI/REMA/REMS thread, there seems to be a bug in the 1.22 mac patch. Without revealing spoilers of my upcoming mod...
I have an item I need to remove from a ship. If it's in the cargo bay, either REMV or REMA gets rid of it. If it's been installed though, only REMI gets rid of it, REMA does not. REMA is supposed to look everywhere. So, I'm pretty sure this is a previously unidentified bug, not something weird I've caused in my mod only.
The short-term modding solution, of course, is to just use REMI and REMV in tandem. Downside is that doing so could potentially remove two copies of the item, but for unique items (at least) that's not an issue.
I'm sorry to always be the bearer of bad news, Fingers and Ed. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I love the game. If I didn't spend so much damn time playing and modding, I wouldn't be noticing these things.

Thanks, I'll make a note of this in case we ever release another patch.

Oh, please don't say it that way. When you say "in case we ever" little zorglings cry. (Zorglings, not Zerglings. And I might cry, too) Please instead say "when we inevitably release another patch with additional new content for this, the greatest computer game of all time". Okay? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I agree with Sgqwonkian. The Bottomless Chasms of Muul are just crying out to be used (like the Brood Towers earlier).

How about "Unusual Universes: Returning Again to Infinite Space "?
'Explore as much of the universe as you can, in an hour or more.'
I'd even pay (a little) for a version 2.0 update with more stuff to find in it.

I'd buy a sequel and would pay for a 2.0 with more stuff, too.

Here, here! Officially seconded (or thirded, fiRsted or fourthed, depending on how you interpret the point of various posts above)
I'd gladly pay another $10 to $25 for a backwards compatible 2.0 with extra content and more modding flexibility. I drop that kind of money at the movies every couple of months for something that only keeps me busy for a few hours. Weird Worlds has been very cost-effective for my entertainment budget.
Honestly, I'd pay for a sequel too, but I'd be A LOT happier if all my existing mods could be used with little or no required conversion.

I rarely buy (or play) any games, but I bought this title on the recommendations of some of my non-gaming friends online. One of the best purchases I've made. Part board game, part space shooter.
I'd pay again for more of the same.
I don't know anything about Shrapnel Games, but despite the date of the title, it still could gain quite a lot of traction if promoted/sold in the right way. (At the very least, I think it'd make an awesome title to see bundled with PCs.)

While I wouldn't rule out another WW update, the game is in a pretty good shape with the Windows and OS X versions finally compatible with each other and very few if any catastrophic bugs remaining. We're concentrating on new projects at this point.
The most likely driver for another WW patch would be switching the sound engine from OpenAL to my own mixer code, which would make a universal Mac binary easier to create. Besides that, "1.3" would be a minor update with no new content.
