in another thread, Fingers said:
Are you running with the -verbose command line option? That may give you more information (although hard crashes tend to interrupt the log in unintuitive places).
Is that still just a PC option, or did the Mac patch bring it or something similar cross-platform? If so, how do I use it on a Mac?
Update: Answer for doing this on macs: open up Terminal, and enter:
cd /Applications/Weird\ Worlds/Weird\ Worlds.app/Contents/MacOS
./ww -verbose

I don't really know how to use command line options on Mac since I don't have one. However, since it's a UNIX derivative, it should be possible to open a command console, cd to the directory where WW is installed and run the game from there with these options. The "stdout" output should then appear in the console window.

Open up a Terminal and do:
cd /Applications/Weird\ Words/Weird\ Worlds.app/Contents/MacOS
./ww -verbose
Note that you'll need to escape the spaces with a \ and that your Weird Worlds might be in a different directory.

Wait, how does this work? I've probably opened Terminal 3 times total, and they were all specifically while following very precise instructions from someone who knew what to do. (And generally it didn't have anything to do with WW:RTIS)
I'd love to get back into modding WW:RTIS. I quit 'cause I was so frustrated with the untracable bugs. I have a partially-finished Weirdyssey mod that I'd love to put to bed properly, but I can't figure out why it's crashing.

Found it / figured it out.
Amazing what leaving out an "L" will do. No game called Weird Words on my computer. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
