I've playing around with the shield disrupter (the one that kills shield generators). I have got one of these on my Close Combat class of DNs, to "prepared" an enemy ship for boarding. It is a very good weapon, one shot (heavy mount) can kill off 4 shield generators, an AI battlecruiser usually only carries three.
The problem is, when I use it to kill off the shield generators, then try to board the ship, I get a message saying that the shield is still up (but obviously it isn't, since the shield generators are destoryed). The only solution I found is to fire one more shot at the ship, which can be anything from shield depleter to polaron beam. This is a bug is it? It certain doesn't make sense if this is intentional.
