I was bored today and so I decided to create a new roleplaying race for my use. They are the Rukbat Star Republic. I'll be working on their race style periodically and probably add a website.
Here is the race portrait, what do you guys think of President Kwok?

He reminds me of Catbert, and is probably just as diabolical!

at some point i need to commission a shipset for the Nausea Heap (my PBW race). You can guess the theme, so I supose someone who is good at 'abstract' would be a plus.

President Kwok diabolical? No, just a green fat guy.
I based him on a character I drew a long time ago - except I called them Geezoids then...

Why does Rukbat sound familiar? Is it the name of the planet the Tanu and Firvulag came from in the "Pliestocene Epoch" SF series? Or the name of a planet in the Dragonworld series by Anne McCaffery?

Yep, Rukbat is the name of the star in McCaffrey's Pern books http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the
human mind to correlate all of its contents. We live on a placid
island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was
not meant that we should go far. -- HP Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu"

Don't the Tanu and Firvulag come from the Julian May novels?
e.g. The many-colored Land?
