On the SE net website, there's a Proportions mod that's supposed to be workable. However, I can't get mine to work. I uploaded the 1.66 patch, and it came out before then. Is that's what causing it not to work? also, a statement said that the full mod would be available by the end of 2007. Just curious as to how much longer we have to wait for this mod.

Also, where are the Star Trek and Star Wars mods for SEV?

Do you have the multimedia pack installed? I think Proportions uses some images from there...

There is no Star Trek or Star Wars mod for SE5, yet - if you want to make one, go right ahead http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif There are Star Trek and Star Wars shipsets, however, as well as a Battlestar Galactica mod...

thanks for the info. However, I don't have time to even play the game at times, let alone trying to figure out how to made a mod. I thought at one time Atrocities said that someone might be working on a Star Trek mod, but that he wasn't going to do it himself. I just wish whoever he thought was going to do it would do it. I know there have been several shipsets made lately, so it keeps me wondering if there will be a mod to follow one of these days. I sure hope so.

Is there a discussion thread about this mod? I guess it is in another forum. Could anybody point me on that, please?

For reference, Proportions SE5 is on 1.0 now:

And a thread link:

No update yet - still running through a test game on PBW.

Pretty nice, though a bit on the slow side of course!
Is there even an AI for Proportions?

I've been playing this on full tech and here are my 2 cents worth

Facilities

Atmospheric Modification Plant should be changed so it can be built on Domed tiny planet
here's what I think it should be

Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 2000
Tonnage Structure Formula := 20000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 200)

and the Temporal Space Yard Facility you can put more then 1 on a planet and it only takes up this
Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 1000
shouldn't it be this
Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 4000

and could this

Name := Space Yard Facility
Description := Large construction facility which allows the construction of ships in space.
Facility Group := Space Yard
XFile Class Name := SpaceYard
Picture Number := 1
Maximum Level := 100
Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 10000
Tonnage Structure Formula := 10000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 200)
Cost Minerals Formula := 100000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 1000)
Cost Organics Formula := 0
Cost Radioactives Formula := 10000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 100)

be changed to this so it can be built on small planets

Name := Space Yard Facility
Description := A construction facility which allows the construction of ships in space.
Facility Group := Space Yard
XFile Class Name := SpaceYard
Picture Number := 1
Maximum Level := 100
Tonnage Space Taken Formula := 4000
Tonnage Structure Formula := 10000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 200)
Cost Minerals Formula := 50000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 1000)
Cost Organics Formula := 0
Cost Radioactives Formula := 10000 + (([%Level%] - 1) * 100)

Or just make 'mini' versions.

Say, come to think of it, it is inconsistent that Tektonic bombs are scaled to different planet sizes, but atmosphere modification plants are not. This is something that MM ought to address. It would allow for expanding the tech field, too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif You could have plants of various sizes and 'power' for different situations.
