How can I determine the future (turn-by-turn) maintenance requirements for my ship designs BEFORE building the prototype. There are design decisions I'd like to make before the constructobots(TM) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gifstart cutting metal (or casting monocrystal ceramic).

I know the maintenance cost of the hull alone, but what about the rest of my goodies?

Has somebody published a spreadsheet perhaps, or is there a hidden screen display or will I need to trawl through the component.txt file for each component and its upgrades?? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

The maintenance is 25% of the ship's cost. Bases have half the regular maintenance.

Noted & thank you.

Note that various racial traits and cultures can affect maintenance rates, so you might see different real-game values than the base 25%.

In any construction queue where the ship can be built, right-click on the design in the list over on the left. The pop-up info window that brings up gives the maintenance cost, among other things. There are a few other places you can get at that without having built the design, but one's all you really need.
