A friend of mine asked me to make a Borg shipset for him for SE-IV, based on a picture I'd posted on Renderosity.com
I took a stab at it, and here are the initial designs. Let me know what you think, and any ideas as to what they could be used as.

I don't think those first two can really be classified as "Borg." Borg vessels are all basic polygons (cubes, rectangular prisms, and spheres).

Have you ever seen the canon ship used for the Borg Queen, or the Voyager episode "Unimatrix Zero"?

There's quite a bit of complexity there. Additionally, the canon Star Trek games show quite a bit more variety in Borg ship designs. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

It at least has the outline of a Platonic Solid.
Such a design, however, is inefficient and unborg.
Spheres of Doom provide maximum volume (power) with minimum surface area (to protect).
Cubes provide plug and play upgrades to n^3 size & power.
Grim efficiency For The Win.
(You DO want the monstrous and scary classical Borg, not the wussy, lameified Voyager Borg, right?)

I wonder if borg ships use windows, or mac os?

Clearly they use nothing but Plan 9.

A question of Cube designs has come up. I prefer one style, one friend prefers another, and still another friend prefers a different one altogether.
Matt can't decide (LOL)
So, I thought I'd post a couple of examples here and see which ones YOU good folks prefer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
