Yes, I started a new story. I haven't bothered to try to dig my data off the old computer yet. Just lazy, I guess. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Anyway, you are all welcome to leave any questions, comments, or observations you may have here.

You can find the story here: (link) (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=38367)

PS. Thanks to SJ for his editorial help so far.

This is really a question about this forum software. Why is it that I can only edit the original post in a thread, and none of my replies to that thread?

I seem to have started reading it and then lost it.

Good so far.

Except...'Belanai'...'Bologna'...

Thanks for the kudos, I'm glad you like it Narf.

P.S. Bologna? This is not Space Food Empires mod. :P

P.S.S. Next chapter's draft is done. just need to edit...

See, this is why confirmation is important. Any proper chain of command, it goes (IMU) something like this: "Do this. Did you get the message?" "Yep, doing this. Did you get the message?" "Yep. Please advise when complete. Did you get the message?" "Yep. Will advise when complete." "Done now. Did you get the message?" "Yep." "Echo." "Echo."

With, of course, quotage of previous messages.

Lots of 'paperwork', but at least everyone not only knows what's going on, everyone knows that everyone knows what's going on.

And that last is important, however trivial or useless it may appear.

I posted there on the idiocies of their 'chain of command' methods.

Posting into the "comments" thread that one has posted a comment into the story thread surely does make some sense ...
I'm sure I'll get it if I sleep over it, maybe. :faint:

...It made sense at the time. However, if that time is local, it was also really early in the morning.

Nope, not local. Meh, I can't make sense all the time.

Looks like the voodoo here is powerful.

I've moved the comment from the story thread over to here in the comment thread.
