Although I have not been very active int he DOminions community I've been around for a while and I've made a couple of Mods, Maps, and Empires mostly for personal use. However most of my work, at least the graphical part of it was borrowed from other people's work. I am no graphical design engeneer or a profecional and talented Artist so I wanted to aske some of you guys especially Amos, Sombre, Zepath and DrPreatorius If I could borrow some of your TGA files to create some new nations an make them accessible to the community. Ofcourse I will not take credit for the pictures since they are not mine. I would give a detailed description of who the creator of the TGA files was.
What do you think? Yei or Nei?

I think that at least Amos gave an univocal "do with my stuff in any way you please" in here already, and Zepath was fine with people picking up his stuff as well. I'd think that Sombre and DrPreatorius aren't adverse to that, too, especially if you do give credit. I'd say you should do it like the others who have been quite often leeching off KO's work, too: Release it and in case somebody really complains, take it back. As far as I know nobody was giving a specific license under which his stuff is released, so you can assume that things are in the public domain if there's no mention.

If you're just using the TGAs that's no problem at all. The only thing that would bother me is if you use the same unit names/nation names because people might get confused between them and the originals.

Yea, I would only use the TGA to create new theme nations. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
