I have tried repeatedly, but the second download fails right at the end. I don't know why, but it just does.

I just barely downloaded it and it worked fine.

Can you tell me where to get the star trek mod? and how do I install it?

Try using DAP(DownloadAccelator) IT has all the functions like resume etc....

The only time I run into a problem is when the source is only one server.

DAP gets downloads from as my different sites as it can and then compiles the program on your system.

Speeds up downloads alot. And it is reliable.

Worst case let me know which Version your looking to get and I will span the zip file and email them to you.

Just rely here or send me an email.

No matter what I do, the download gets to 5.33 megs, and freezes. I am on cable, so I am not timing out. I have tried to download it from 4 seperate sources, and each time it freezes at 5.33 megs.

Sources used:
Home - Cable and DSL
Work - T1
TribesCon -T3
Friends - Cable

I don't know what the problem is.

Ok, so here I am, at a complete loss. So what do I do? I turn off the anti virus prgram. Guess what.. Yep, it worked. Just to be safe, I scanned the program (Zip) before I extracted it, and then I scanned the files. No virus detected. So why do you think McFee froze the download?

That is weird. I am using the same virus software and did not have a problem.

Try using gozilla.
Even if it freeze, you can resume the download later.

I could never get on with Gozilla. I use Opera, which has download resume built into the browser=-)

Strange.. I had a simmilar problem with mcaffee, I could download, but as soon as I unzipped it the virusscanner crashed it..
after disabling the virusscanner, unzipping and scanning the files they appeared clean.

I'm usin mcaffee 4.5 with the latest data-pack (I'm Quite paranoid because my computer only barely survived a virusinfection (sircam) Last week, I've been busy for 2 days to remove the virus (two other students who live here and are on the same network had their hard disks deleted)

It's worth it for the gesture recognition alone. Lovely piece of software.

Gozilla=spyware, if I remember correctly.

I just got Getright, myself. Though Opera is looking nicer and nicer the more I think about it.

Eventually I'm going to have some five odd browsers on my system for some true full redundancy. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif

I've experimented with Opera at work - it seems OK. Though, I much prefer Netscape Navigator (well, an updated, debugged Version of it), but gods know that I'll go to virtually any length to stay away from the virus-inviting horror that is MS Internet Explorer and/or Outlook Express! [All above IMHO.]

Notepad was a good program.

Other than that I cannot think of another one that was good.

Maybe Bob

Please enter new password.

Password changed

Now that is security at it's best. THe only thing MS did not steal or buy. BOB
