Right, but the ones that *are* could be resized, and that would cut down on the ones that would have to be deleted completely.

Actually I have raised the allowed size from the 48x48 to what is stated above, 80x80. So it's only those people who have images larger than that who have a problem. Right now this system auto resizes them down, but in the new system, it simply won't allow you to break the limit (import/link fails) instead of resizing them which is really how it SHOULD work anyway. Some of the files are almost 100k because people have uploaded huge pictures as their avatars. We're probably going to have to put a file size limit as well, but it will be a generous limit that won't affect that many people....just the ones that are outrageous.

There's only about 80x80 actual pixels in there, and it is just zoomed up in MSpaint for no reason at all.

Image manipulation is obviously not my forte. I thought I'd ripped the image down to conform to the profile guidelines but I guess not. :o

lol, it's okay. You just need to make sure it's 80x80 pixels and no more than 20k. The system shouldn't allow you to upload one that's too big now, so you should definitely know if it isn't right now.
