i just realized that the fench mle 16 rifle has range12. is this on purpose?

As for a specific quote on the range for this rifle, I could not find one, lots of other info abounds on it but not it's range. (Strangely enough this holds true for alot of rifles) Several articles on WWI rifles said rifles needed to able to hit out to 1,000 meters so 600m effective doesn't sound unresonable to me. IMHO
