I'm ready. Gonna watch it for sure. Looking forward to it. Might even get the wife to give it a try. She started getting interested in Voyager during the Last season. (Although she won't admit it http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif )
Maybe if she catches one of these early I can turn her into a trekker yet. She likes Scott Bakula, so she said she'd watch the first one at least.

watched it on Tuesday night.
A-Channel Edm.
Show had it's up's and downs
But I liked it. Plot was good.
Very refreshing.
Alot of inside jokes for Fans.
Ship looks really good.
I think were in for a treat.
And it was nice to see tech. screw up.
And the doctor is not as anoying as I thought he would be.
How is that for not giving away anything.

You bet I'm watching. Even if it stinks, it'll still beat "reality" TV. (10 singles who hate each other all sharing one house while millions of people watch? Not in my reality!)

My wife likes Scott too, but she hates star trek. She did say she would watch the first show just because he is on there.

I'll be glued to the set. My brother (Patrick Zircher) was one of the comic book artists for Marvel's Star Trek: The Early Voyages. So, I've been a 'retro-Trek' fan for years already.

we seem to have a common theme with wives not liking trek.
My wife likes trek.
But she asks too many questions during the shows. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif
Just kidding.

i think rick borman has killed startrek. i have no desire to watch another one of his creations, even if the universe used to be enjoyable.

Puke:
It's not Rick Berman who killed Trek. Rather, he was the one who brought TNG through the home stretch and created DS9, which, at least in its final seasons, is arguably the best Trek we've seen yet.
No, Jeri Taylor killed Trek. She needed to be shot, but, alas, it never happened.
In the meantime, I'll be taping it to watch when I have a chance.

True True.
It is a soap in space.
Voyager became alittle too much.
I always used to think.
If i wanted to watch law and order then I would watch law and order.
Not law and order with a couple of shots of a space ship to remind you it was a sci-fi show.
Alas I know I will watch it regardless.

i dont know man, berman is singlehandedly responsible for vic fontaine, and has been quoted as saying brilliant things like - trek should be 'sexyer' and 'less millitary' and 'fans want a show that where they can watch an episode without knowing any of the backstory' - which is why the Last season of voyager sucked more than all the others. it didnt have a single episode that tied in with ANYTHING.
and to me, thats crap. it means that there can be no overarching storyline to speak of, just a serise of one shot cliche trash, with lots of stupid soap-operatic melodrama.
