The idea of this game is a final showdown between the population killing nations of late era and a coalition of others. The settings/house rules are thus somewhat odd to give the team of two a chance.

Settings/mods:
CB 1.5
50% gold
75% resources
0% site freq (note this still means a few sites)
Very hard research
HoF 15

House rules:
Team 2 players may not take dominion over 4.
Neither team is allowed to trade items/gems/gold.

Map:
Aran with preplaced starts, and the ultimate gateway for Ermor.

Team 1:
Jurri - Rl'yeh
Baalz - Ermor

Team 2:
Micah - Jomon
fungalreason - Pythium
quantum_mechani - Man
Zeldor - C'tis
Lingchih - Marignon
okiN - Abysia

We fight for everything that is worth preserving in this world, against madness and death! Our cause is just and we are destined to succeed!

Very intriguing game concept. Hope you all post a few stories, as I for one will be following events with interest from the spectators area :)

Thanks for sticking it out Fungal, pretty tough spot. We will avenge you!

There be Abysians at my border! Gah, annoying fight...lich queen finally routs the Abysian light infantry and is chasing the last limping guy off the battlefield when the turn timer runs out and she beats a hasty retreat before the last loser can limp all the way off. :/

Aw man, I totally forgot you have cavalry. Nicely done.

Hmm. Dead Wyrm. We cooked it up. Tastes like chicken. Not too bad. We cut off the poison bits, of course.

(just trying to see what it takes to make Jurri post)

(just trying to see what it takes to make Jurri post)I don't think he reads the forums any more.

He's communicative enough via email FWIW.

Game is on hold a bit while okiN resolves his computer issues.

It seems 3 out 5 good nations staled... I'd like to request a rollback.

So, my previously submitted turn is still valid, right? Got a notification of the rollback, and then a reminder the game's gonna host in a few turns and the llamaserver status page lists me as not having submitted my turn.

Yeah, old files are kept. No attacks coming from me.

Yeah, I had to resend my file for some reason, but I didn't change anything.

So I'll keep playing if you guys think it's fun (my turns are far from onerous), but it's obvious to me that team evil has no chance whatsoever at this point. With the massive priests everyone's been recruiting nonstop along with troops geared specifically to fight me I can't possibly win a battle with less than a 10:1 troop count (if then) and have no way to ever storm a castle successfully.

I don't seem to have received the last turn file. I hit the resend turn button, but still have not received it.

edit: never mind, I have it now
