This is the single most important change I can think of.

That option where AI does not make changes during missed simultaneous turns needs to be fixed so the AI does NOT make any changes.
No issuing of order at construction yards.
Or moving ships around if the AI gets bored.
No sending/responding to diplomacy (would be better if it could send "I'm an AI" as a response)
No deciding that all your ship designs were crap and it could do better.

Basically I want it to be the equivalent of opening the game and pressing End Turn.

If that was implemented then I could "safely" miss a turn every now and then (which might be better than me playing blind drunk..or then again it might not http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif ).

I second this whole heartedly! It really ruins a good game to have the AI run even one turn.

I think there's a mod out that does just that.

there is indeed a mod that does just that, and its supported on PBW. check out the files and mod section here, and find Geo's no AI mod. it adds a 'none' minister style instead of the standard agressive, defensive, neutral.

My mod will fix all those problems except the part about the AI moving your ships around aimlessly. I can't seem to figure that one out. Must be hardcoded as far as I can tell. But as long as you don't miss too many turns in a row you can mother-hen all your chicks back where you want them without too much trouble, unless you have them camped near a minefield. DOH! http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

Put fighters in your fleets, then at least they will not go through warp points.

I guess its too late for the games I've already started?
Will definetly use the mod after that (good work!)
