View Full Version : How do I not Avoid a wormhole?

Here is the Scenario,
Single player game, My ship wanders into a Mine Field. SEIV creates a box around the wormhole and all my ships start avoiding it.
Later the race surrenders to me and all mine fields change over to my control.
Unfortunately the box is still around the wormhole and my ships are still avoiding it!
The mines now belong to me. I can manually force a ship through the sector.
How do I turn the "Box" off so my ships stop detouring around?
Thanks,

There's a command for 'untagging' a square. Might be alt-U or ctrl-U.

Perhaps you could SCRAP the mine field. I don't know if that will clear the avoid box, but at least you won't have to worry about the mines. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif (When AI surrender to me, I often scrap or self-destruct the mine fields because they are annoying.)
Oh by the way, Do you know who Glen Campbell is? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif

Tried both suggestions...
Neither worked...
Until I ended the turn.
When I went back it was untagged.
So I don't know which suggestion works!
Thanks for the help!

Ctrl T - Tag Mine Field
Ctrl R - Remove Tagged Mine Field.
I think if you manually move a ship onto a tagged mimefield and it doesn't detect any mines then it removes the tag for you.

Thanks for the official Way to remove the tags. I prefer not to blow up old minefields unless I run into the Max amount. If any of my allies turn on me they have FUN trying to get home!
Flying a ship through a tagged zone does not seem to untag it (at least in Ver 1.41)
Thanks,

Was that ship cloaked? ISTR that happening to me when my ship was cloaked. I do know that cloaked ships and minefields do not usually act as expected....

Might have been stealth armored but not cloaked
Can't really remember!
Oh well
Next time it happens I'll experiment.
