I'll play. What settings did you have in mind?

Executor
December 28th, 2009, 01:02 PM
Great!
Nothing specific, I'm pretty much open for any settings, although I think it might be fun to add 2 impossible AIs in.

Baalz
December 28th, 2009, 01:09 PM
Oh, I'm up for anything as well. How about CBM 1.6, easy research on a map with 40-50 provinces? You wanna do random nations or pick?

Executor
December 28th, 2009, 01:16 PM
Sound good to me, let's go random on nations, we'll need to get someone to roll nations.
Oh, and what era would you prefer?

WingedDog
December 28th, 2009, 01:17 PM
Welcome back, Executor. :)
I could roll nations if needed.

Executor
December 28th, 2009, 01:19 PM
Thanks, but I'm only back until the 10th of January, and thanks for offering to roll nations!:)

Baalz
December 28th, 2009, 01:30 PM
I'm easy like Sunday morning, random era to!

Executor
December 28th, 2009, 01:36 PM
OK than, WingedDog, you have the honer to roll eras and nations!
And PM us the pick don't post as for better sportsmanship if you please.

Oh, and one last thing, do you wanna go with the two extra AI's or no?

WingedDog
December 28th, 2009, 01:41 PM
So, 1 random Era, 2 random nations for gentlemen, 2 random CBM flavored AI's shaken, not stirred? Right?

Baalz
December 28th, 2009, 01:43 PM
Sure, sounds good. You wanna do a randomly generated map, or you have one in mind that works for 4?

WingedDog
December 28th, 2009, 01:45 PM
Here goes:

Age middle;
Executor: Vanheim;
Baalz: Jotunheim;
If 2 AI's are needed - they are Ermor and Agartha.

I'm a little lazy to search for maps and the only smaller maps that come to mind are ShaBay and Endless Steppe, but I'm not sure how small they are.
Once again your call. :)

Executor

Wow, great sage?

Baalz
December 29th, 2009, 02:07 PM
Hehe, every one of our score charts is a mirror image...

Baalz
December 29th, 2009, 02:11 PM
Gah, heavy cav in literally every one of my expansion paths...:/

Executor
December 29th, 2009, 02:16 PM
a very bad event in capital turn 3...

Baalz
December 29th, 2009, 02:22 PM
Haha, seems like we've bot got enough bad luck to go around.

Executor
December 29th, 2009, 02:33 PM
sneaky bastard...

Executor
December 29th, 2009, 03:07 PM
Dammit, A9... can't say I didn't expect that.
Well gotta go for now but I'll probably be back later tonight to play a few extra turns.

Baalz
December 29th, 2009, 03:19 PM
Just when things get interesting! I love A9 for Jotunheim, probably would have gone with it in a general game. Pretty much forces you to go into melee with giants until you get substantial research...which is right where I want you. ;) 'course, that'd be nicer if I wasn't gonna be facing shifters packing a big wallop.

Though it handily negates that thunderstrike communion Executor might have built otherwise ;)

I hope you don't mind comments from the peanut gallery, if you do let me know.

Executor
December 29th, 2009, 08:57 PM
Uuh, those woodsman bastards aren't capital only are they...
Good thing I didn't plan on flaming arrows too... oh wait, I did...

Trumanator, I welcome any comments that are offensive to Baalz! :))))

Well I think the main question is whether 2 skinshifters are better than 1 woodsman

Baalz
December 29th, 2009, 10:25 PM
Haha! That's what you think! The main question is if Vanir can pay their troops in toads...

Executor
December 30th, 2009, 06:44 AM
frickin' toads...
Well at least I ***** slapped those woodsman, I take solace in that even doe my E5 smith is diseased now, and from the looks of it Ermors got it out for me... :p

Baalz
December 30th, 2009, 12:43 PM
Yeah, its easy to forget how tough those damn shifters are...

Executor
December 30th, 2009, 01:23 PM
Oh I so hoped you wouldn't move back that army to protect those lands...
Still with the toads a? I'll stop if you stop :)

TwoBits
December 30th, 2009, 02:56 PM
Dang, this sounds like it would be fun to watch...

Baalz
December 30th, 2009, 03:13 PM
Haha, I think you'll stop because you're out of E gems. By blood slaves show no sign of running out. (For those of you in the peanut gallery I'm hitting his cap with rain of toads while he hits mine with blights and pillages some of my lands. We're both pretty much with no gold income over our upkeep)

That cracks me up! I think the Dominions forum needs some kind of "great quotes" list. That should be on it :)

Executor
December 30th, 2009, 07:13 PM
Well I must say those toads will be the end of me probably...
It's just no fun when you get completely shut down from turn 10 and no way of getting a damn dome up... but, the show must go on!!!

It's very entertaining to fight you with no gold for troops and mages, uh, and let's not forget the legions of Ermors undead that are swarming over my border... :p

Heh

Oh and P.S. pillage should give way more cash, killing 4000 pop for a lousy 100 gold is just... lousy!

Baalz
December 30th, 2009, 10:56 PM
Yeah, pillage isn't really a money making scheme, it's really just to scorch the earth. I'd be in much worse shape if I hadn't gone for an immediate blood economy - I can't really recruit any troops now either but I can still crank out a few blood summons. I'm curious how effective those bone fiends are gonna be against the shifters, but either way I should win by attrition...unless Ermor gets you first! Hmmm, in hind sight seems like maybe AI in a duel probably wasn't the best idea as it seems the winner is going to be determined by who gets attacked by the AI.

WingedDog
December 31st, 2009, 03:20 AM
You finished so fast?
Baalz, care for a duel with me, random ages, random nations on a Dogfight map? I'm free 2-10 January.

Baalz
December 31st, 2009, 03:54 AM
I don't think he's conceded, but if the AI is marching on him he's in a pretty tight spot. I'm up for a duel next week WD, though no Abysia! ;) I still have nightmares...

Beware Executor, it seems Baalz had learnt my AI taming trick, I wouldn't cast any globals if I were you.:)

Next week is perfect. PM me when you are ready. We need someone to roll age and nations though. I'm pretty slow at creating pretenders, so sooner I know my nation the better.

Hmm... I rolled LA, Baalz as Gath, and you as Jomon. Might not want to play this match up.

WingedDog
December 31st, 2009, 10:33 AM
Fine by me.
Happy New Year everybody! I'll see you in 2010.
