I am new to simultaneous mode, and am wondering if there is any way to link two or more ships (or fleets), say, after moving two sectors, then continue as a single fleet to seek out an enemy ship on the same turn with a second order. This is no problem to do in turn-based, but I cannot get it to work in SIM. Is there a way to do this?

No, there's no way to do this in simultaneous. The best you can do is move them to the same sector on one turn, then combine them and order the attack the next.

If both fleets have the same basic movement points, you can coordinate their arrival at a location.

Move the fleets so they rendevouz with the same movement left, then send them to the destination. I think they will arrive in the same phase of the turn. I may be wrong, but it works for me.

Having fleets of over about 20 ships becomes a real problem where formations are concerned, so I'd like to be able to send in 2 or more fleets of 20 just to keep them in a cohesive force.
