You are right. At the first glance MOO3 seems not very interesting for micromanagement fans.

On the other hand the lead designer is ALAN EMRICH, a guy which has alot of experience in designing good games. (eg. he designed the wonderful wargame "Totaler Krieg" nearly singlehandedly)
I hope, his experience will save MOO3 and make it good game.
