Well if you click on the 'Rate Member' or 'Member Rated' under your name you get your title. (I think)
please correct if incompetence is ruling my life again.

Looks like Richard (or the tech guy) has got those working now.
You are officially a:
Lieutenant Colonel
Fyron

It shows your rank right below your name on the left.
Edit:
Huh, thats odd. It just doesn't show the rank of the most recent poster.

quote:
I would say Tim Brooks is Member #1...

Looks like Tim Brooks is member #4 (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=23&t=004276), so the question remains: who is the big #1?

All this number talk reminded me of the Stonecutters from the Simpsons.

Well it kinda' looks like Snitz Forum (though it probably isn't). I would venture that Member #1 is "Administrator"....

Hrmm... seems I am 444... darn... if only that was 222 higher then I would have something to talk about. *sigh*

So why is my # of Posts stuck at 35?
EDIT: You'd have to look in 'A Pirate's Life...' to see what I mean.
And just out of curiosity, when do I stop being a Private?
Yoink!

Search didn't help. Member number 1 hasn't posted to any of the open forums. Maybe number 1 doesn't exist!
I wonder if it is possible to trade member numbers. 1025 is really good number and just right for every galactic leader. If someone with number that is less than 1025 wants to change numbers let me know. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

After using it for a few days I like the forum update. The only thing I don't like is the blue text for items viewed.

Hmmm ... I think I like this "member number" thing. Maybe I'm only a Captain, but my member number shows I'm a grizzled veteran.

Yeah, we can now pull rank based on account number even when someone has reached a similar level of Posts. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

just try pulling rank on me. I will get my mommy and then we will see who is in charge. And it won't be us.
