I almost have all the ships completed and The AI is about half way done.
I am first setting this up for 1.49 so you all can play with it before the gold comes out.

I have the AI about ready for pretesting while I finish up the ships.
IF anyone wants to play test the AI a little and provide feedback, post here and I will provide what I have ready.
I plan on making them ready with all the extras for the gold but still playable for the none gold.
I am also going to re-vist the colonials and update the shipset some.
Any help testing the cylons would allow me to better develop them quicker.

I'd be happy to give it a shot. My room mate is a big Battlestar Galactica Fan and would more than likely put them through their paces.

Here is the Cylons
They are still missing the
FighterGroup, fleet, Mine, Minegroup, Satellite, Satellitegroup, spacestation, battlestation, TransportSmall, TroopMedium, TroopSmall and all WeaponsPlatforms. I will be adding these soon.
I just wanted you all to see the work I have done so far. As you will see I used alot of freedom to design the ships as there were not that meny in the shows.

It looks pretty good, you might want to center a few of the ships more (CarrierLight most of all). I really liked the ships you came up with, especially the troops/WPs. What did you use?

How's the AI coming along?

Ok here is the prelim work on the cylons.
The shipset complete, The speech file is there but not complete. There is no ship name file.
This is just for testing.

I'm on my second game with the Cylons - first game they were wiped out early by another AI, so I restarted. They're doing ok this time, holding their own, I'll let you know more once I'm in more direct contact with their empire.

I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I need help on the mods. Are these mods for the original SE4 game or for the new Version coming out on the 15th?

I have downloaded the mods from the website, but I cant get them to work. Anyone who can help on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif

Most of the mods are for 1.49, though I've seen some Gold.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'd be happy to help out. What do you need help with? There are some great modding guides out there as well that go over quite a bit.

You might want to start a new thread out in the main area to attract more attention.

To add a new race you need to make a folder for the race in Space Empires IV\Pictures\Races, then put all the .bmp and AI files in that folder. The folder has to have the same name as the beginning of the .bmp filenames. (Most mods are set up so that you can just unzip the .zip file into that folder.) If there's an .emp file, it goes in Space Empires IV\Empires, and if there's a .txt file with ship design names, it goes in Space Empires IV\Dsgnname .

Here is the latest Cylons ship set.

All ships are now included.
This set will work with 1.49. if you wish to use it with the gold please instal this file in the data folder also.

That way you will be able to see the Small, medium and large drones, sats and mines.
If you do not install this file then you will only see the default drone, sat and mine.

I am still working on the AI so, let me know how it functions.

P.s sorry for the delay, I have been sick for over a month now.

A note on Dracus' uploads:
- the second file should be renamed to vehiclesize.txt
- the vehiclesize.txt should be placed in a modfolder to avoid losing your original SE4 datafiles.

One other thing, if you load the txt file, the other races will still use the default drone, sat, and mine bmp they come with.
The way the gold works, is if you do not have the primary picture, it defaults to the secondary; which is in my file set to the standard. So You can use the Cylons with any others and not worry about adding more pictures to the others.
