Where is everybody? Are you all college students home for the holidays or something? Even if you are busy, don't you play still, even if just a little bit? I usually check the Boards while I'm waiting on the turn to process, but it doesn't do any good when there are maybe 10 Posts in a given day!!! *sigh* I suppose now you are going to tell me I'm supposed to spend time with my family, huh? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

The forums have quited down alot. Hopefully with the break for all those college kids and the soon to be released gold edition the forums should be jumping again sometime soon.

Oh, we are here. A lot of us are busy (as Mephisto pointed out) compiling mods and helping MM test the Gold Version during the final crunch!

me (college student) still got one week before vacation, and i have a presentation to prepare about the Gameboy Advance before Tuesday and complete a school project before Thursday. I had 7 weeks to complete both of them, but i decided that it is possible to do it in one weekend, this weekend.
I did find time to play a game yesterday, a game of Civ3, not SE4 though.

Quiet? Sure, a bit of a victim of success.
Any newbie questions are quickly and accuratly answered, so those threads end quickly. Many of the long and complicated discussions were held months ago and the answers are now widely known and avalible.
Also, as a previous poster noted,Civ III is out and I wager a fair number of us are playing that. Civ is a lot like SE4. Great strategy, not much concern with graphics, and horribly addictive.
Mix all of that in with the holiday season, you get quiet.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif still here, lurking in backround, really, been busy re-doing my kitchen, down bath, etc, ugh, just haven't had time other then a quick read here and there, and of course the re-model won't be ready for xmas, don't even have a tree yet, let along finish xmas shoping. I have Civ 3 on my list along with EU2 and SE4 Gold. Busy time of year.

I've had:
- My phone line dug up. (no internet for days!)
- My ISP randomly dropping me and refusing to reconnect.
- Shrapnel "server not found" errors when I am connected.
- An emergency blitz to get P&N gold.
- Final Exams
Whew!
I suspect that a good chunk of the normal forum activity is being siphoned off into the Gold Beta forum.

Forum time, yes. Gameplay time, no. I'm travelling, and though they have a computer, I don't want to install the game and all the mods to play.....just to uninstall it all after 6 days.
You get 10 days off??? Man, I only get 6! Then I work for 2 days and get another 2 days off!!! silly, isn't it? But what can you expect, this is management's work we're talking about! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

I think the Gold submission deadline is now passed, so hopefully we'll see a little more activity now.
End of this week I get to spend a whole 10 days in a row NOT in the office (and NOT particularly sober=*) so hopefully I'll be able to get some serious forum time in (in between gaming, visiting relatives and trying to bring some kind of order to my website...)
