I've already ordered a copy of SEIV GOLD (have the original as well) so this question isn't related to my support.

However, I would love to play it on my Dell Inspiron 8100 which runs Windows ME (urgh) - the original SEIV wouldn't run properly unless I let my computer run for at least a half hour (and sometimes not even then)... I was wondering if the cause had been pinpointed and fixed or is this a Dell problem/ME problem and I just have to suck it up and play at home on desktop... ?

Thanks!

Jason

We have had other folks with the same combo who seem to work okay.

I have a feeling that Dell has some sort of TSR or such that is intefering with the game.

Reformat, install everything fresh. Do not use any proprietary install disk and see if that works to get rid of the problem.
