Caves?

So I've noticed that when I've completely explored a planet (at least it's surface) it only shows that it's 60% complete. I've also heard that there are caves. Do any of the planets in the first 5 sectors have caves? I have been all over the maps and haven't found a cave yet but maybe I don't know what I am looking for. Has anyone else found caves?

Hi, I remember when I was experiencing that problem (full explored but says 60%). It's because I changed something, but forgot to account for it in every location. That has since been fixed.

According to the code, caves can appear any time after sector 2 (3+).

I found my first cave! Very cool although I keep losing red shirts. I'm glad there are transporters and extra oxygen. There just seem to be surprise around each corner.
