I know that the 100 turn time limit and the tech limit are a drag, but I want to get some practice in against humans and see how multiplayer works before I get ahold of Gold...

Not one person is interested in playing Gold demo by email or TCP/IP? Nobody want to get a "head start" before the game hits the shops?

I wonder why PBW dosen't have the Gold Demo as one of the mod choices...

Way ahead of you SJ. We will have SEIV Gold demo as an option on PBW. Just waiting on something from Malfador. The little "100 turns" popup box causes problems cause it runs even if the turn is processed from the command line.

I can't play TCP/IP because of my firewall at work, but if you want to get a PBEM game going I'd be happy to play.

I am still waiting on Malfador to be able to setup an option on PBW. But if there is interest in it, I would be happy to host a Gold Demo game on PBW and run the turns offline.
I'll go ahead and set it up on PBW and if we get enough takers we'll go with it.

While we wait for PBW how about someone playing me either TCP/IP or by regular email?

... sounds more complicated than PBEM.
Methinks wait till TCP/IP full Version is out http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Actually, it is exactly like PBEM, except that nobody has to be the host and do the dirty work http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
Then you get bonuses, such as private forums, piles of open games to join.
I'm sure theres way more I haven't seen yet, though...

Now that PBW supports the SE IV demo (and I can attest that it does work and makes the process of playing a game a lot easier) does anyone want a game, already? I thought there were lots of SE IV players around...
I should be getting a full copy of SE IV Gold in a week or two - presumably the game can then be "ported over" to the full Version if both sides have the full game.
