These are "Daily Codes"

They are case-sensitive. Put them in note-pad with a system font if you're not sure.
You can use 1 per day (they are date-sensitive)
They are "time zone sensitive" , so where you are in the world will affect which one you can use and when.
Enter them after you start or continue your game
A "Credits" code will give you 1000 credits multiplied by what sector you are in
A "Rescue" code can be used on planets or in space, and restores either hull & shields, or hit points & oxygen
They were randomly generated, so I don't know what some of them do!
ENJOY!

Crap, seriously, I forgot to say that?!
Yes, happy Easter, to All of you, and all or yours!
(we're about to BBQ chicken on the grill, very traditional!)

Thanks for the codes. I just wish that I found them before the 9th.

I should read the forum more often.

Um? You do realize you can set the date on your computer to that of whichever code you want, start the game and enter the code, exit/save, and reset the date, don't you? Just pay attention that each code is specific to the date given, so it can only be used once for that date. So, if you use the "credits" code for 8 April, you can't use it again in that game but can use the "credits" code for 12 April later on. But they are all re-useable when you start a new game.

Gentlemen, AI is such a unique game that it's first amongst all games which has implemented "time machine" mechanics into gameplay...:)

Funny, but not so. The old Trek game from mainframes in the 1970s had a cool feature where it would save some secret saved game positions, and if you entered a time warp (and weren't destroyed) it would send you back to an actual saved game state from the past. So if you were about to lose, but could still attempt this, you might get a second chance by sending yourself "back in time".

Well, it's a kind of savegame though, isn't it? But here in AI you really manipulate the time itself...:)

Sure, from a certain point of view, is highly innovative. :hour::potion:

The Trek thing wasn't just a saved game though because your statistics weren't reset and your current ship condition was inserted into a computer-determined previous game state.

To be fair, I never recommended anyone change the date on their computer. I'm fairly certain I could stop people from exploiting that, if I choose. But I don't see any harm in it. I just like solving problems.

I never got to play that, but I coded my own "star trek" sims on my Atari 800xl, based on the David H. Ahl Books (http://www.atariarchives.org/basicgames/showpage.php?page=157)

Hmm. I just (11:54pm) entered the April 14th code, but it didn't work. Previous codes worked (I did April 9, 10 and 12).

I got it to work once I realised that it is a lower case 'L' and not an upper case 'I'.

Oh, that was it. Thanks!
Ya I thought it might be that kind of thing, but since it was 11:55 and I'd been doing taxes for hours beforehand, I failed to think of I -> l.

That's an impressively short listing for what it does. The version I played on mainframes (mainly at University of Washington computer labs) was very similar but had many additional features - the time warp, Tholians laying web, Romulans, Klingon Command ships and Super Command Ships with long-range tractor beams, planets you could mine for dilithium crystals if needed, and you could even sometimes get the Enterprise destroyed but manage to survive and take commander of another less-capable ship. Like Rogue, people kept hacking in random features so it got to be pretty full of quirky details, which I liked a lot.
