I'm playing a 1 player game, and I have a question about alien weaponary. The computer hasa wave motion gun that does 400 pts of dmg, but my only does 140, what gives http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif Thanx in advance, also we're a good place to find out about multiplayer games

The AI is using a mount. These increase damage and weapon size, amoung other things.

when designing a ship, press the "weap mount" button in the upper right corner. That will allow you to select a weapon mount. Some won't work on smaller ship sizes though- you have to be at least Light Crusier in size to use a large mount for example
