SE IV Gold and TCP/IP-Router

Can SEIV Gold be played, hosting, over a router?

Does anyone know of the ports the game uses? I tried DMZ first but the game is still reading my internal, network IP. Should I just ignore that?

I don't have them on me but the ports are listed in the beginning of the appendix area of the manual (I think that's the right place).
