-move to option.. even if you can only assign it once

-let the player cancel orders *if the drone hasn't moved yet*. I.e. fix misclicks. Right now if I'm tasking a drone in simultanious and I click on a target, then decide I want to hit a different target, I'm screwed. Have to live with it or restart the turn

-weapon armed drones should fire THEN ram. Arming your drones with weapons is nice, but if they ram before firing it's somewhat useless http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

EDIT: this can be partially gotten around by using strategies. A drone with a primary strategy other than ram, won't ram (with WMG). Still doesn't allow the "charging firing and ram" idea but I'm working on that..

-drones are always automated in tactical combat. You can't even aim them when launched- they just go about their business on their own.

Here's some more:

-I gave a drone a bunch of rocket pods (yes, the one-per-combet fighter ones). Primary strategy- optimal weapons range. Secondary strategy- ram. It fired the pods.. then waffled. Ran one space, move toward the enemy one, etc.

-The launch units screen has a list of how many sats, mines, and fighters you can launch. Drones aren't on that list. The limit on firing them DOES work, so this is more of a cosmetic thing.

The game does rock though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Just a few little things here and there..

I am still waiting on Gold, so I cannot try it myself yet: Does the Ram strategy work if you put it to primary ? I know this is not your idea with this type of drones, but I have seen a similar problem with ram ships in 1.49, they avoid ramming colony ships, planets and I guess transporters also, although the strategy is not set up with avoid type so and so.

"Does the Ram strategy work if you put it to primary "

Yes.. BUT the drone will often ram before firing it's weapons, making them pretty useless.

Just to make sure, maybe you have tried it already: Mod the weapon of your Kamikaze Drone to destroyed after use, ram as secondary strategy...

"destroyed on use" only destroys components where you give a USE order during your turn.
