Yep. The Unmod. Mods in the original data files.
Either the Least or the Most work put into a mod so far http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

For v1.49 (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1015989926.zip)
For Gold (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1015989964.zip)

If you mistakenly modify or delete your original data, and don't want to reinstall, use the Unmod.

I'd say the least.

But, Aaron did a LOT of work to make it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

But you did almost no work. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

How Zen... maybe that explains why the "latest post counter" for this forum got set to March of 2002 and I thought the universe had imploded and everyone's Posts for the Last year and a half had disappeared! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

I've played a couple of games on the TDM Modpack.
What sort of features are included in the B Mods?
Is it mostly new species like the TDM, or does it include some new tech tweaks?

I've also been reading Imperator Fyron's guide to modding. It's very informative, and answers pretty much all the questions I've had about the topic. It seems the game has been designed with upgradability (is that a word?) in mind.

We have over a foot of snow here already, and I just might spend some time on this over the winter

As stated in the first post, the Unmod puts the original stock files back in. Useful in case you accidentally deleted, edited, or corrupted them somehow, and don't want to reinstall the whole game.

There are no new races, and no changed data files.

Do you keep up with latest patches ? Otherwise poor souls would have to use Un-mod and then run the patch. Might be very confusing http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

BTW, I used it once. PvK send me the betta Version of Proportions mod and zip file was configured to overwrite stock files http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I don't think any files have changed since those.
The only possibilities are components and vehiclesize.

After this next patch, remind me to check.

What about that new tag in the ability description of shield generators that shows the actual amount of shields generated, rather than a static number? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Completely unrelated question, but does "shield regeneration" works for facilities ?

I think it would be cool to have massive shield regenerator to recharge planetary shield ! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Shouldn't you (S.J.) be working on the P&N mod?

(waits impatiently)

SJ, a player in one of my games cannot patch his 1.84 to 1.91-- apparently it is the date stamp on the .exe file-- and can't find his CD

Could he use the unmod to bring it back to 1.60, then use the 1.91 patch?

No. The unmod doesn't revert the .exe, just the data files.

If he can't patch but can prove he owns SE4, you could just send him your 1.91.exe and the stock data files folder..IIRC that's all that changed besides the new intro pic.

The unmod does not affect the executable. It is just a "mod" that has the stock data files.

Rats! I figured that would be the case. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
