View Full Version : AI's that never glass a planet?

Anyone have a set of AI's (Gold compatible) that conquer planets instead of glassing them?

I like playing against the TDM-Modpack AI's but feel that the ground combat features of SE-IV are way underutilized.

How would one go about modifying an existing AI to target only weapons platforms and then invade with troops (i.e. never target planet population or facilities)?

Thanx in advance,

Both the Orks and the Krill updates I posted a couple of weeks ago do. The Krill, Aquilians, and Vikings from the TDM-Modpack on the CD should be doing so too.

I did read somewhere that troops are destroyed first and weapon plateforms second during a bombardment.
So only the militia would be left. Right???
That would be a dissapointment.

Try setting num ground combat turns :=2 in settings.txt

Then the defender will have time to build troops for troop-vs-troop action.
