Hi all,

Possibly another dumb question. I'm getting moderately good at the game now, and can generally beat the AI on middle settings.

Is it feasable for me to try and play a multi player game over the internet?

How does this work, do all the players have to be on for a couple of hours at the same time or something??

I am in the UK so if this is the case could probably only play UK players as I would be able to play early evening UK time which is mid day for most of America

1. Get some practice at Simultaneous movement games; all multiplayer games have to be sim-move (except hotseat games). Simmove has few differences: the most important being strategic combat.

2. Register at Play By Web (http://seiv.pbw.cc). It's by far the easiest way to find opponents and handle game turns. (except perhaps for TC/PIP, which I haven't tried yet)

3. Join a game and start playing!!!

quote:
How does this work, do all the players have to be on for a couple of hours at the same time or something??

You can do it that way as a TCP/IP game, but most multiplayer games are play-by-e-mail. Play-By-Web (http://seiv.pbw.cc) automates managing the necessary files for that.
