Guys,

You know what's funny UBB is very moddable like SE:IV, and I had to debug an "issue" with the upload mod to get it to work. Reminds me of all the work you guys do with SE:IV.

Anyway it works. Now to Poll icons...

Hey Richard. Thanks for updating everything for us.

We will hit 100k in the Posts by the end of the year.

Bet you did not think that your Forums would grow like this.

Technically, uploads were always working. I uploaded my avatar pic a few hours ago. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Of course, I had to use the file upload form link that I had copied earlier. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

No not at all, and that's part of the reason for the upgrades. To think a long time ago we started on a shared server. We then moved on to this dedicated server that we have had for 2 years and a few months. Now on to a second server that is 3 times as fast as this one.

Ok, I'm probably missing something, but if I upload something, then realize I uploaded the wrong thing, how do I delete it? There used to be a way to see all of you files and delete them when you no longer needed them.

Unfourtanetly that upload mods (which I prefer) author dropped off the face of the earth so when UBB went up to Version 6 his mod was no longer working. I tried to make it work myself but it involved so much perl programming that we just switched to the new mod that works in 6.X.

Richard, how do you limit the number of files then that people upload? I would think that it could get quite cluttered. And if there is a limit, bow do we clean out olds ones to upload new ones?

Unfourtanetly there isn't a way with the way it is setup now. However the files really aren't that bad, so unless it becomes a nuisance I plan to leave it that way for now.

My eventual solution is to setup a dynamic website where everything is php mysql based, but that is far into the future.
