Ringworld

Hi, I am relatively new on this forum and the game itself, so I have a question http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif :
How can I build a ringworld as the maximum capacity of my ships is 1500KT (no more research possible on ship construction) and the components needed are 2000KT?
I just wanted to try it out, but with no succes.

Yea, I too had trouble with this at first.

You have to build a ship(or ships) with a shipyard component. Then use that ship(s) to build starbases containing the needed components to build a ringworld (or sphere world).

You have to build those 2500kt bases containing the neccesary equipment at the star .
So first you'll need a construction ship, move it to the star, and then either built more construction bases there, to speed up construction, or start building the big bases with the equipment right away.
