I was looking in the Tdm Mod Pack 3.11 "EMPIRES" file this morning and noticed something amiss, I think.

There are 2 sets of "colonial(s) files.

One, the older, is named "colonial{number}.emp, the newer is named "colonials{number}.emp.

I am not certain, however, it seems to me that the older files should be deleted and the newer ones have their name changed to the singular.

Correct?

Colonials 2000, Colonials 3000, Colonials 5000 are just the amount of points that it uses in the advanced (racial) traits and characteristics parts of setting up the games. This is the way the AI set properly for the games to be run. If you try to use Colonials 5000 in a 2000 point game it will generate an error.

goforit, I think you're answering the wrong question http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Tenryu, I would go with the newer files for now, at least until the author Posts here.

Ya, Thanks, SJ, thats what I figured. I expect the change in spelling caused the newer file to NOT overwrite/replace the old one.

More of concern is the fact that the race is prolly using the old file, which I just thought I'd ask about, because it's prolly not supposed to be doing that.

Use the colonials(number) they are the ones set up for the gold. The others should be deleted.
