I composed a list of names from the glossary of the Silmarillion a long, long time ago (back in the days of SE3 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif ). Anyways, here it is:
Silmarillion.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022821781.txt)

Come to think of it, here are a bunch more Tolkien names lists (mostly randomly generated, so they aren't official Tolkien names, but close enough http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ):

Adûnaic, or Númenórean.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822362.txt)
Black Speechm or Orcish.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822402.txt)
Khuzdûl, or Dwarvish.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822434.txt)
Quenya, or High-elven.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822459.txt)
Sindarin, or Grey-elven.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822489.txt)
Valarin, or Angelic.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822512.txt)
Westron, or Common Speech.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1022822535.txt)

They are all unsorted. If that is problematic, I can sort them.

Would you mind if I included one or two of these with some of the Trek sets? I will give you full credit.

I want to use them with the Kazon and perhaps Vulcan, Andorian, and Hirogen sets.

Go ahead. I don't mind.

Valarin is not in the appendices of the Silmarillion. Nor is Khuzdul. You've obviously been gleaning in the HoME series. That's an impressive collection, and as suitable for system names as ship names. All the extended characters will work in the current Versions of SE IV, too. Good stuff.

I'm tempted to sort them, but since the AI just blindly goes down the list it might be better to leave them alone.

Fyron, you might be a lager-wuss but these are excellent. I always thought the Adunaic names were particularily pleasant

Baron Munchausen:
Umm... only the Silmarillion file is from the Silmarillion glossary. The others were made with this nice random names generator program that I have. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif They are all Tolkien-based.

GT:
What makes me a "larger wuss?"

What makes me a "larger wuss?" <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">He said "lager"; that wasn't a typo.

He's dissing your taste in alcoholic beverages (see the Cantina thread).

Oh, I thought it was "larger". I have no clue what "lager-wuss" means.
