i do not think anyone has placed music in mods.

is it your music.

because of the copy right thing??

in the settings.txt

you have

Num Intro Songs := 1
Intro Song 1 Track := 9
Num Background Songs := 8
Background Song 1 Track := 2
Background Song 2 Track := 3
Background Song 3 Track := 10
Background Song 4 Track := 11
Background Song 5 Track := 12
Background Song 6 Track := 13
Background Song 7 Track := 14
Background Song 8 Track := 16
Num Combat Songs := 6
Combat Song 1 Track := 4
Combat Song 2 Track := 5
Combat Song 3 Track := 6
Combat Song 4 Track := 7
Combat Song 5 Track := 8
Combat Song 6 Track := 15

you could make a cd with the music you want to play. and increase or decrease the number of songs

if you just want to listen then either just play music or something...

nice question.

if its for you.
I usually just play winamp when i play.

Or i put a cd in and let seiv play it randomly.

But, correct me if i am wrong, wish to incorperate music into your mod ???

Actually, the B5 mod has a music CD, though it is so huge that only people that have sent me a CD to have it burned have a copy. The startup has the B5 theme from each of the 5 seasons, so it randomly picks one. Then the music is from the various episodes and movies. The settings file reflect the music as it is on this CD, but still works ok with the SE IV CD as I tried to keep the numbering roughly the same (something you may want to think about).

IIRC, settings.txt tells SE4 which tracks to play when.
You will have to distribute a CD, or the image of a CD, or maybe just MP3s and have players burn their own.

It's too bad that SEIV could use .mp3 files in place of the CD tracks...that would be great...I can already imagine the fun I would have setting various battle themes...
