I was thinking that if each weapon was Modded to have enough supply capacity for 1 to 6 shots the loss of your engines or supply space wouldn't immediately leave you helpless. It could even be differing amounts of shots(capacity) for different weapons.

I actually don't find the no supplies no shooting change too unrealistic, I am just suggesting that we could use this 'feature' to our advantage. It might be interesting. Also might balance out the engine killers. Of course everytime I try and 'balance ' something I usually unbalance something else, but, well, such is life.

I haven't tested it yet, but I am hoping that as you lose "supply containers" you don't lose supplies, just capacity. If so, this might work well.

Additionally, we'd have to be sure that the amount of supply capacity on the weapons stays Below the capacity of the supply storage component or the AI prolly start using the weapons for storage, LOL.

Any thoughts from anyone else? Anyone ever try something like this?

Note that during combat, this applies per ship, not the combined capacity of the fleet.
